Sean Duffy is getting tough on States which issue CDL's to non-qualified foreign drivers.
... limits non-domiciled CDL eligibility to foreign nationals holding H-2A agricultural worker visas, H-2B temporary non-agricultural worker visas, or E-2 treaty investor visas. Employment Authorization Documents alone will no longer qualify applicants for the specialized licenses....
It is effective immediately but does NOT affect "non-domiciled" CDL holders until their license is up for renewal. About 200,000 drivers will be affected, which is only 5% of active CDL holders.
