Someone named "Marie Harf" goes all emo because she does not have a real case.
...Liberal Outnumbered contributor Marie Harf offered a more sobering perspective on the consequences of Musk's aggressive cost-cutting measures, citing job losses among long-serving federal employees, including veterans.
'The government shouldn't be in the business of firing a veteran who served their country for 20 years and then having to fix it later. I don't trust that it will fix it later. I just don't,' Harf argued....
Does "veteran status" include a right to a permanent taxpayer-funded job?
No. Not sorry, no. It does not, and should not. A permanent taxpayer funding is often "welfare."
There are millions of veterans working in private industry and there are "help wanted" signs all over the place. They could have gone there--and still can!
But that's the emo line used by Harf and all sorts of local TeeVee "news" reporters, who are going all emo because there is no real case here. Maybe they should all go and have a good cry someplace.

Yesterday I went to a fish market and bought fish
The man behind the counter was a veteran who proudly served in Alaska at Fort Greeley
Yes, there are many veterans working in private industry.
Veterans do not need permanent welfare
