Social Security and MKE (!!)

Local note.

...Trump has nominated Frank Bisignano, CEO of payments technology company Fiserv, to serve as commissioner. Bisignano’s Senate confirmation hearing is scheduled for Tuesday....

While Fiserv's current HQ is in Florida, the Company began as "Midland Data Processing" (the IT arm of the Midland National Bank) in Milwaukee in about 1965.  When Midland National Bank was acquired by First Bank, Midland Data Processing left the building and became Fiserv, which was--at that time--the largest processor of savings & loan deposit accounts in the US.  (In the same time-frame, Milwaukee's M&I Data was the largest processor of BANK deposit accounts in the US.)

Bisignano is more than qualified to run an agency which takes deposits and issues checks, and if he is diligent about it, he will find all sorts of ways to make it run efficiently.  Most likely he will also have the SS database repaired in very short order.  After all, Fiserv's systems all used to run on COBOL, too.

I'm glad to see you're finally admitting to the COBOL. One baby step at a time.

I knew about COBOL when you were soiling diapers, just like you're doing now, sonny. By the way, with the enormous consulting dollars SS paid out (and with their own fat crew of programmers),
how come they didn't fix that COBOL thing a decade ago?

Oh yah. Typical Government work and workers.

You denied it when President Elmo's romper toom rugrats tried to claim 150 year olds were collecting Social Security. I thought that even your Bible had the part about bearing false witness.
