It's all about the money.
The [NFL] announced Tuesday that the Eagles’ opening game of the 2024 NFL season, played on Friday, Sept. 6, in Sao Paolo, Brazil, will air exclusively on NBC’s Peacock streaming service.
The Eagles are still waiting to find out who they will play on Sept. 6. Reports indicate it will be the Packers or the Browns....
"Streaming network" means that you must be a subscriber to Peacock (pay additional money) to see the game.
At this time, the NFL thinks that it is King of the Hill for television ratings (true) and that they can squeeze even more juice out of the orange (consumers).
Maybe they can.
