In the midst of pull-quoting a letter from a Tennessee lawyer about the current situation, Throckmorton gives us this quote:
This, of course, is referencing our own Alexandria Brown’s famous line:
“The Tea Party was the polite request. Trump was the less polite request. It will not get more polite from here.”Ms. Brown is correct.
You should read at least the pull-quotes from the letter; the entire missive is linked in the Throckmorton post. It is professional, but not the simpering squishiness of the Professional Republican class--such as that of Speaker Johnson (e.g.).
Perhaps the Speaker could learn something by reading it.
