The Wales, WI 'Barn Company'

Founded in a barn in Wales, WI., Generac is a bit bigger these days.

...this company makes real products –power generators including standby units for the residential market – and it has real revenues and profits. It has been around forever and went public via an IPO in 2010. Since 2017, revenues, aided by numerous acquisitions, roughly doubled to $3.7 billion in 2021...
In Days of Yore, I was responsible for operating one of their car-starting products which was bolted to the bed of the company pickup truck.  It was quite a machine; hook it to a dead battery in -30 degree weather and it would spin the car's engine at (seemingly) 2,000 RPM.  It never failed to start a car.

They still make very good stuff.

I suspect that the whole-house natgas-fired gen sets are going to be a very large portion of their business in the next few years.  Get one while you can.

We have their generator for our home in Adams County which we've used pretty often. Always works and keeps us safe and warm.
