R. R. Reno, editor of First Things, mentions Frs. J. Keenan and J. Martin (both Jesuits) because both of them use the "human dignity" lie in espousing queer marriage.
(A variation of that lie was invented and used by Milwaukee's very own Fr. Massingale, who will be spreading his moral poison in Racine early next month.)
Gee. Where have we heard the "human dignity" lie before?
Yes, indeed!!! When Pp. Francis attempted to change constant Church teaching about the death penalty, he used the "human dignity" lie, too. And as we mentioned yesterday, Amnesty International has picked up that perverse little pattern to attack the Second Amendment.
The "human dignity" reality is very different from what those Jesuits propose, of course. Human dignity is founded--exclusively--on the truth of human nature, which excludes homosexual sexual activity (and un-married sexual activity, and marital sexual activity utilizing artificial contraception, too!).
That same truth of human nature allows self-defense and the defense of others, which is the bedrock underlying defense of the State, which includes by extension the utilization of the death penalty. (The death penalty is also protected by retributive justice, but that's another discussion.)
Ahh....the legacy of Pedro Arrupe, eh!! It's just as bad--or maybe worse--than what Malachi Martin had thought.
