Remember that old saying to the effect that if the tool you have is a hammer, all the problems look like nails?
Well, if one is a civil engineer, and one spent lotsa lotsa years in RoadBuilding, then every problem can be resolved with MOAR CONCRETE!!!
..."The governor’s seemingly offhand comment that the decision to widen our
highways is driven by outside interests is not factually based, and is
profoundly disrespectful to the professionals in the private and public
sector who are trained to design and build safe and efficient highways
for all to use," said Gottlieb, a retired civil engineer. ...
So lemmeesee, heah, Remus. According to your logic, the professionals who studied how to build highways, and the professionals who actually DO build those highways, and the professionals who review plans for such highways (and approve them) could not POSSIBLY have a mite of self-interest in MOAR CONCRETE, eh?
Get a life, Mr. Gottlieb. We appreciate your fervor. Thanks for your service.
