Another example of someone educated far beyond his intelligence:  a professor at Ripon College who objects to flag memorials on 9/11.

We'll cut to the chase here:

...The point of memorials is to remember, but few of these students have memories of 9/11. In fact, some of the youngest didn’t yet exist. What value is there in trying to remember an event that one, in practice, can’t recall?....

Therefore, since your wife does not recall her birth, Professor, why don't you just skip that silly and value-less memorial "birthday" of hers?
