The Holy Narrative (Opposition Version)

McCain is on the ground with the Santorum campaign.

...Rick Santorum is not “focusing on gay marriage.” He is being asked — asked repeatedly by reporters and by people at town-hall meetings — about his opposition to gay marriage, and he is explaining his opposition. He is not obsessed with the issue...

MFM headline-writers know how to write campaign advertisements (see the blatant Milwaukee JS bullshit on 'Walker Aide' for the egregious maximum....)

And the Holy Narrative (Chapter Two) demands that all Conservatives focus on gay "marriage."

Thus it is written, and thus the rubes are expected to believe.

Althouse gets it, too:

By the way, I'm seeing a hardcore effort to portray Santorum as an anti-gay bigot.

And Althouse is not a Santorum fan-boy (or girl), either.

Steyn and Althouse respect the guy.  Not a bad day at all.

Santorum: "Marriage is not a right. It’s a privilege."

Any thoughts on this?

You can ask my wife. She'll tell you that it's a privilege to be married to her.

Santorum agrees with her and since she knows how to use a gun, who am I to disagree?

Moreover, Santorum is correct. Brothers and sisters do not have a "right" to marriage, nor sons-and-mothers.

To pretend otherwise is stupid.
