Bishop Salvatore Cordileone, for instance, of the Diocese of Oakland, has been continually harassed since he played a crucial role in the passage of pro-traditional marriage Proposition 8. He was just last summer subjected to a multi-thousand word attack in a widely-read California newspaper.
It was related to me from a reputable source that the bishop frequently has to attend public events accompanied by a body guard.
I will not name the source or the specifics (since I am not concerned with it now), but the person commented: “It is really a telling sign of our times when a Catholic bishop who comes to a Catholic University to talk about the sanctity of marriage has to be sneaked into the building through the back door under armed guard!”
Draw your own conclusions.

Cordileone. Heart of the Lion.
If he's the only one in California being harassed, makes you wonder about the rest of them.
That is beyond sad!
Interesting how those shameful attacks on Bishop Salvatore are similar to your equally forceful diatribes against the USCC.
You told me to draw my own conclusion, so don't fault me!
Anony, there is no comparison.
Delusion sets no boundaries.
"Buy More Ammo".
"Buy More Ammo" is a defensive position, not offensive. Read the 2nd amendment, what it means, and why it was included.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, and enslaved press, and a disarmed populace - James Madison
Tell me, Neomom, how enthusiastic exhortations of "buy more ammo" and "Wolverines" would be sanctioned by Jesus as a defensive-only position, and how in no way is it a violent or threatening exclamation that intends to incite. Tell me what you're going to do with your cartridges and who will receive the high-speed lead, and under what circumstances. In reality, you know, here and now.
Remember, only certain special Catholics can hear the secret specifics from the secret source.
