The bigger news is bye bye Broadway Bank (aka Mob bank), owned by family of Illinois Treasurer and current US Senate candidate (and B+HO's basketball buddy) Alexi Giannoulias.
When running for Treasurer, he used his experience at Broadway as a qualification.
Today, he is using the bank failure as a qualification for running for US Senate. He says he understands what every small business owner goes through when they lose their business, and that'll make him a great Senator. Also, he wants to be on the Senate Banking Committee.
We have a Gregorian Chant Schola up here in Orkney! Just started up about two years ago. Very exciting. I'm a mamber but I've been out of the picture for almost a year because I was pregnant with twins - and recovering from the c-section. They are three months old now so I should be able to get back in play!
