Let's ask the obvious question here, which Local Pravda's reporters don't find helpful since their objective is to divide the Republican party.
Is Trump a Republican?
That depends entirely on how you define the term "Republican," doesn't it?
If you accept the definition which was operative from roughly 1930-2000, Trump most certainly is NOT a Republican. That Republican Party was the bankers, the (military)-industrialists, the Globaloney-impose-democracy-for-all bunch, the country-club low-tax/profit above all/screw the workingman bunch. When you read the article, two prominent leftovers from that era are quoted. One writes for a small-circulation magazine, the other retired.
But if you dig back a bit further in Pubbie history, you find Teddy Roosevelt, described as a "progressive" for his populist Square Deal, trust-busting, food and drug regulations, and railroad regs. It is interesting to note that TR was also a Globaloney Guy--and it cost him the Presidency.
The Trump Republican party was foreshadowed by Patrick Buchanan's rebellion against GHWBush's feckless globalism and Red China-philia (which the Reds tossed back into his face.) PJB was an out-and-out populist America First-er, just like JFK was. Of course, JFK's assassination ended the Democrat Party of the 1930-1965 era in favor of massive Government and massive "social spending AND war" programs. But the PJB populism did not die. Rather, it grew, especially as the "new" Democrat Party of the LBJ/Clinton/Obama era revealed its face to an increasingly horrified public.
Enter Trump. He's a big spender, soft on crime, New York loudmouth with a glaringly obvious womanizing problem (unlike that of JFK, LBJ, and WJC, whose womanizing was buried by the presstitutes.) But he had an America First agenda, loud and proud. Re-home manufacturing to the USA!! FAIR trade tariffs with such as China!! STOP the invasion at the border, along with its drug-trade and child-prostitution camp-followers. KILL Leviathan Government regulations, leaving only the essentials. STOP foreign adventures-with-guns which get Americans killed, do nothing for the foreign citizens, but which enrich the military-industrial complex beyond the dreams of avarice!!
It helped that his infected-pustule Democrat opponent was Hillary.

The case began over the Department of "Justice"'s criminal charges against dozens of J6 political prisoners. A district judge tossed the charges on the basis that the law being used by DoJ did not apply to the cases at hand. His ruling was appealed; a DC circuit panel of three favored DoJ.

Pay attention to this case as it moves to SCOTUS.

A Texas judge found that the Federal Drug Administration improperly approved the sale of an abortion pill and he has given the government seven days to seek legal relief....
The drug in question, Mifepristone, has already been replaced by other drugs which have the same effect. That's a tacit admission that the lawsuit's grounds were legitimate.
....The lawsuit was filed in November by a group arguing that the FDA had insufficient grounds to approve the use of the drug over two decades ago. Mifepristone is the most common form of abortion in the U.S., but providers have already switched to a different drug in anticipation that it might be banned....
Be that as it may, suddenly the Hard Left is opposed to lawsuits over process errors. How many times have property owners been sued over filling in small ponds (or even 'seasonal ponds')? How many times have utility permits been cancelled over specks of coal-dust? And now, federal firearms license holders are told that ONE error in their record-keeping is enough to shut them down.

Some discussion of the plan on CNBC.
On Thursday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Last Call,” host Brian Sullivan reacted to the IRS’ new spending plan by stating that there is no way that the plan won’t result in increased audits on the middle class.
While interviewing Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Sullivan stated, “I know there’s been a lot of media that’s been like, they’re going to hire 87,000 agents, no, they’re not. But it doesn’t seem possible that there’s no way this doesn’t also raise audits on middle-class people.”
Malliotakis responded, “Absolutely. Secretary Yellen came before our Ways and Means Committee last month and she basically said that the percentage would remain the same across the board. And that means that 90% of the audits will be for those under $400,000 a year....
So it won't be 87,000 new agents.
But they won't be "middle class" audits, either, Rep. Malliotakis.
They will be audits of 'terrorists' who contributed to Trump, or go to the Latin Mass, or speak at school board meetings, or refuse to Say the Lie that boys-are-girls-girls-are-boys, and/or who possess AR's.

Are You a Broken Dish? Go To the Cross!
We all know someone who is a 'broken dish.' They cannot function properly, if at all.
In this essay, Grondelski reminds us that the Psalmist spoke of being a broken dish, too; that was a reference to Christ's crucifixion, but not only to that.

During World War I, she assisted with the sick and wounded in Kraków hospitals. By the time the War ended, Aniela had succumbed to multiple sclerosis, followed by stomach cancer and tuberculosis. Never a strong girl, she was no longer able to support herself by cleaning work and so passed her last years living in a Kraków basement, supported by benefactors. ...
In her childhood,
...Aniela wanted to contribute her fair share to her family’s livelihood. But the youngest and littlest child could not give much, nor did her family expect much from her. In the Greek text, this word (tetélestai) points back to the very beginning of the Passion narrative, to the episode of the washing of the feet, which the evangelist introduces by observing that Jesus loved his own “to the end (télos).” (13:1) This “end,” this ne plus ultra of loving, is now attained in the moment of death.
He has truly gone right to the end, to the very limit and even beyond that limit. He has accomplished the utter fullness of love – he has given himself. . . .[We encounter] a further meaning of this same word (teleioÅ©n) in connection with Hebrews 5:9: in the Torah it means consecration, bestowal of priestly dignity, in other words, total dedication to God.
I think we may detect this same meaning here, on the basis of Jesus’ high-priestly prayer. Jesus has accomplished the act of consecration – the priestly handing-over of himself and the world to God – right to the end. (cf. Jn 17:19) So in this final word, the great mystery of the Cross shines forth....

Benedict mentions the Roman custom of breaking the legs of the crucified, but since Christ was already dead..........

Jesus is the Lamb chosen by God himself.
On the Cross he takes upon himself the sins of the world, and he wipes them away....
Finally, describing the piercing of His heart,

Trumka: Like Father, Like Son
Richard Trumka, Jr. is a Bai-Den appointee now running the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
His father was a lawyer and union thug (Mineworkers, AFL-CIO) who got things done the old-fashioned way: threats of violence and (union) election fraud schemes, demonstrating that having a law degree doesn't make one into a moral citizen. (Democrats have lots of election lawyers for exactly that reason.) He delivered the message: Comply. It's the Thug Way.
Trumka Jr. also has a law degree, and perhaps he's a bit smarter than the old man; his thuggery masquerades as "consumer protection." (He doesn't really give a flying fart about "consumers"; he is "protecting" the "environment," consumers be damned.)
His M.O. is to find 'studies' which predict doom or which are--at best--questionable, then act on them as fast as possible. That's how he decided to ban gas stoves. Don't believe the "if/maybe/possibly" crapola in the news story--natural gas usage is the target and your gas stove will be history.
Now he shows up again, this time to make portable generators far more expensive.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) voted unanimously on April 5 to advance a proposal that would enable portable generators to emit less carbon monoxide and shut down the devices automatically if the odorless, potentially toxic gas reaches a certain level.
The rule would “protect unsuspecting consumers from carbon monoxide poisoning associated with portable generators,” noting that it is a “well-documented hazard, responsible for more than 1,300 deaths and 17,000 injuries over the past 18 years,” CPSC Commissioner Mary T. Boyle confirmed (pdf).
“By advancing this rulemaking process, we are taking action aimed squarely at preventing harm and saving lives,” she wrote....
No. They are taking action squarely aimed at petroleum- or natural gas-fired lifesaving devices.
...[Trumka] also appeared to invoke mainstream narratives about climate change, writing that it is his “best guess” that the spikes in carbon monoxide poisonings are “due to the uptick in extreme weather events during which people rely on generators for power.” He did not provide evidence to back up his post....
That's because there IS no evidence.
In reality? Portable gen-sets are flying off the shelves in the USA. Consumers have cash and will buy the devices to protect their families from cold or heat, provide power for in-home medical apparatus, and protect their food supplies during civil emergencies such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or other severe weather (and for protection when utilities fail to deliver power due to Federal "Green Energy" policies.)

Redfield himself was excluded from the meetings when the processes, strategy, and tactics for covering up the lab leak were developed.

It is..........interesting.......that the Department of Defense, a funder of the research, explicitly or tacitly approved sending this to a lab operated by the Chinese Communists who--as you recall--is an enemy of the USA.

ISM and PMI Both Down---Again
Both the ISM and PMI (manufacturing) indices are down again, for the 5th month in a row.
ISM notes an increase in inventories, a decrease in new orders, and a decrease in employment.
PMI observes that while production was up, that was merely a 'clearing of backorders,' and not likely to be long-term.
Had to happen sometime, but the Bai-Den Incompetency, along with the Bai-Den Energy Squeeze, hastened this along.
Now the question: how long and how deep?

IRS vs. Diocese of Madison?
This may become a very big deal.
Pastor Brian Dulli sent a clear message to the congregants of his suburban Madison St. Patrick’s Catholic Church: Voting for a Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate who stands for the killing of the unborn is perilous to your faith and soul.
Now, a left-wing group is threatening to get President Joe Biden’s IRS involved and go after the Diocese of Madison for “electioneering.”
With just a few days before Tuesday’s pivotal spring election that will decide whether conservatives or liberals control the state’s high court, Dulli is being attacked by the Madison-based Freedom From Religion Foundation. The atheist group has complained to the IRS that Dulli’s message in the church bulletin was “blatant electioneering” and is asking the agency to strip St. Patrick’s of its nonprofit tax status.
Why all the fuss? Dulli wrote in a church bulletin that voting for the pro-abortion candidate in Tuesday’s election runs counter to being a Catholic and the Catholic Church’s teachings on the sanctity of life.
“You cannot publicly support abortion or abortion advocates and remain a Catholic in good standing,” Dulli wrote. “The fact that this is a Supreme Court race does not exempt us from our duty to protect life …. As a Catholic, I urge you, for the salvation of your soul; do not vote for her in the Supreme Court race on April 4.”...
We happen to know something about that particular parish; it would not surprise us to learn that a member of that parish is also a contributor to the Freedom From Religion bunch, nor that a parish member 'tattled' to FFR.
Regardless, it is useful to note who was the original pusher behind the legislation at issue here: Lyndon Baines Johnson. Johnson, a notorious election-fraud schemer (and beneficiary) wanted to silence churches which were increasingly critical of the Democrat Party agenda--yes, even back in the '50's. Also notable: churches promoting Democrat candidates and positions are rarely--if ever--penalized by the IRS.
Given the Totalitarian/Statist inclinations of the current administration, this could well be a Federal court case in the next year or so.

Why would a Democrat and Hillary machine operative come to the defense of someone most famously known for wearing a trump hat and military camouflage, demanding that the crowd go-into the Capitol?...
