A Thought for Military-Industrial McMaster

We'll hear a lot more of this screeching over the next 60 days, and, God willing, over the next 4 years, too.

President Donald Trump's former national security advisor H.R. McMaster joined a chorus of former security aides who have taken shots at the administration, blasting the troop drawdown in Afghanistan that the president has accelerated this fall.

...'I think what [President Trump] did with this new policy, is he, in effect, is partnering with the Taliban against, in many ways, the Afghan government,' McMaster said....

 ...I think what we require in Afghanistan is a sustained commitment to help the Afghan government,' he continued....

Well, General, here's a suggestion:  pack up and go over to Afghanistan in a personally-sustained commitment to help the Afghan government.  Leave the wife and children behind, just like our soldiers do.  There are lots of very nice Army-built bases over there; choose any one of them for your residence.

Stay about.........oh.........19-20 years or so, unless you fix the problems earlier.  Be sure to write to Mom!!

La Crosse is number one on the New York Times' list, which was updated Thursday afternoon. In third is Whitewater, and the Oshkosh-Neenah area is in eighth. Stevens Point, Appleton, Platteville, Madison and Green Bay take up the 15th through 19th spots of the list, respectively. 

With the exception of Appleton, all the Wisconsin cities on the list are home to a University of Wisconsin System campus. ...

Briefly, his thesis is that Red China deliberately lied about the lethality of the virus, and lied loud and long about it, going so far as to pressure various officials (national AND state-level) to go into FULL ALERT EMERGENCY!!! mode.

All for a virus which--unless you're old and/or have additional serious conditions of the lungs, heart, (etc.), is barely more lethal than the flu.  Barely.

Frankly, his essay is credible. 

So.  If  Dr. Yan is a lying sack of crap, Tucker--and a number of other people--look like chumps.  If I were the Red Chinese, that's a very good day's work all by itself.

Half a dozen liberal groups in Wisconsin say they were deceived by a longtime member of the conservative group Project Veritas this summer in an apparent attempt to get damaging footage of Democrats in a battleground state....

GE Healthcare to West Milwaukee: Going Home

In the Olden Days, there was a GE X-Ray.  It was located in West Milwaukee (although its earliest days were in Chicago.  They moved outta there--who could blame them?)

Sen. Ed Markey said Monday that U.S. police officers must uniformly be disarmed of "weapons of war," which according to the senator, include "tear gas, rubber and plastic bullets, and bean bag rounds."...

Perhaps the Senator can tell us exactly which army used bean-bag rounds in its battles.  We can wait.

Markey has a ready excuse for this inanity.  He was educated by Jesuits.

And what was this "action from local officials"?

...we reported that Dr. Li-Meng Yan - a Chinese virologist (MD, PhD) who fled the country, leaving her job at a prestigious Hong Kong university - appeared last week on British television where she claimed SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19, was created by Chinese scientists in a lab.

ZeroHedge then quotes Dr. Yan's paper:

 ..."The evidence shows that SARS-CoV-2 should be a laboratory product created by using bat coronaviruses ZC45 and/or ZXC21 as a template and/or backbone. Building upon the evidence, we further postulate a synthetic route for SARS-CoV-2, demonstrating that the laboratory-creation of this coronavirus is convenient and can be accomplished in approximately six months....

Surprised?

You shouldn't be.  

But let's see how long it takes the "Nooz" to mention this story.  Over/under:  at least 60 days.
