Frankly, we've seen that in a Muslim (former) neighbor. Never said it, but always had the look in his eye.
And that hatred is NOT reserved to only politicians of the Pubbie variety.

During the May 10, 2018 forum, Republican candidate Patrick Colbeck attacked El-Sayed with unsubstantiated claims linking him to the Muslim Brotherhood.
El-Sayed pushed back against these accusations as bigoted conspiracy theories. He used the line "You may not hate Muslims, but Muslims hate you" rhetorically to call out the climate of fear and prejudice he felt the accusations fostered, expressing frustration that other candidates on the stage did not immediately condemn the Islamophobia.
Islam is--in fact--a totalitarian "religion." Ask any of the African Christian martyrs, or--for that matter--any of the Eastern Europeans and Spaniards who died under Muslim rule in the 1400-1600's--or the Christians who perished or paid the Jizya in the Middle East.
Islamophobia is a result of reading history. You should try it sometime.
