After only 30 years in business, Barrada Properties managed to become infamous for its continuous failures in managing the upkeep of its rental properties.
The City of Milwaukee has limited options--that is, the City cannot "fix" the plumbing and heating systems.
But Barrada's bankers must be getting very, very, nervous, because the City--after the usual courtroom stuff--can issue condemnation orders.
That drops the value of the property to near-zero, and if you're the bank holding that mortgage, you are in trouble.
