Is A.I. Really All That?? Maybe Not

The Wisconsin-area local governments like Port Washington who are delivering Big Sloppy Wet Kisses to the "A.I." crowd would be well-advised to re-think their thinking.  Several timesOver a period of 2-3 years.

Why?

Long story short, Open AI--one of the pioneers--is not looking too good.

....an analysis of OpenAI's finances suggests they could run out of money as soon as 2027. (Tom's Hardware)

If you're wondering why the beancounters at the big memory manufacturers are being wary of rapid expansion in the face of unprecedented demand, well, it's because they are able to read a spreadsheet and they do not like what they see....

We don't like beancounters either.  But they are often right (except back in the '60's at Chrysler, where they were spectacularly wrong.)

Previously, another astute observer (ex-banker) noticed a problem with the way Microsoft is placing its bets on AI--that is, they are placing the liabilities on companies NOT spelled "Microsoft."  That is a big F'n hint, too.

Think all those AI barns are going to be occupied in 10 years?  5 years?  Wanna bet your personal money and property on it?
