Another Amnesty Is Coming?

Until last week, the budget proposal included Department of Homeland Security funding for the next four years.  But the Senate changed the budget bill--removing DHS funding entirely--thus the House has to re-vote on the amended bill.

Should the House approve, Trump signs off, and no shutdown.

DHS funding would be taken up separately.  Rest assured that the Left will stall that funding for as long as possible.

Or will they?  Enter the Establishment (see, e.g. Gingrich), which has inserted "stealth amnesty" language into the stew.

...The stealth amnesty got a big push forward on Tuesday night when Senate Democrats and Republicans agreed to delay passage of the 2026 funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security. The DHS bill is now being held back until Senate Democrats and Republicans can include a series of apparently minor changes that would create a huge bureaucratic barrier to the deportation of non-violent illegal migrants. ..

We are somewhat sympathetic to agriculture interests which have a unique problem that apparently calls for a large dose of immigrant labor, both temporary and near-permanent.  We are NOT as forgiving about restaurants, car washes, (etc.) which can very easily find US citizen labor--for the right price.

Given that this is Government, the worst possible choices will be made and imposed upon us.
