Missing from + Broglio's Little Letter

The Archbishop brings out JWT to chastise Trump for blowing up death-carriers.

... "As the moral principle forbidding the intentional killing of noncombatants is inviolable, it would be an illegal and immoral order to kill deliberately survivors on a vessel who pose no immediate lethal threat to our armed forces."...

First off, Excellency, there is a lot of room for debate about calling the drug-carriers "noncombatants."  They are--in fact--"combatants" insofar as they are purveying lethal weapons (fentanyl, etc.) used to kill or maim Americans.  No different than supply troops driving ammo-wagons to the front.  That is the very definition of "combatant," even if they are not on a battlefield wearing Archbishop-approved uniforms.

Secondly, we see your weasel-word and raise you.

"....pose no threat to US armed forces....".  Really?  The 'Armed Forces' thing is a red herring and a smelly one, at that.

THEY POSE A LETHAL THREAT TO THOUSANDS OF OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.

JWT happens to be built on the moral principles of self-defense, which includes defense of family (and neighbors.)  We are morally justified in killing a home invader, or a thug attacking us--and/or our wives/children--on the street.  We are allowed to use lethal force if we perceive the danger of "grave bodily harm or death" coming from said assailants.

Granted, the drug suppliers are not in our face, as in the case of a street attack or home invasion.  But it is certain that they are bringing 'grave bodily harm or death', if not to us, to our children (God forbid) or to the children of our neighbors.

So.  They are not "innocents."  They are not "non-combatants."  They ARE indirectly killing Americans--but that 'indirect' is modified by the fact that they are providing the necessary ingredient(s).

By the way, Excellency:  what does Canon Law (and Thomas) have to say about "sedition"?

One more thing:

Did you shut down Masses and Confessions for the troops during Covid?  Was that not an "illegal order"---at least in the eyes of the Church?

Your priorities, Excellency........need.........examination.
