The Environmental Impact Statement about the potential NATO membership for Ukraine should be interesting reading. I’m pretty sure the 1969 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requires that the prospective impacts of authorized government actions be understood and disclosed in advance.
I assume our leadership believes, as a matter of faith, that the environment is global, just like climate. Asymmetrical warfare being the fashion of the day this seems like a perfect issue to play lawfare in the courts. That said, if anything is written I expect it to be first class fiction. – Mark78
