Cdl. Dolan Off the Reservation, Again

There are those who defend Cdl. Dolan, e.g. his brother who lives in SE Wisconsin, and his Mom.

And there are those who have had experience with his veneer-deep Catholicism.  Committed pro-lifers such as Judie Brown come to mind immediately.

Once again, +Dolan is off the reservation.  Ed Peters brought that to light.

Earlier today Cdl. Dolan of New York tweeted: “With the clear and cogent clarification of the successor of St. Peter, there now exists no loophole to morally justify capital punishment.”...

Well, no.  The "clarification" was NOT clear, and certainly NOT cogent.  Francis doesn't do those things, ya'know.

...Francis (or his handlers) left just enough wiggle room (by using “inadmissible”, an ambiguous term in magisterial-moral discourse) to avoid flatly declaring the DP “immoral” and setting off thereby a magisterial firestorm such as has not been seen for some centuries.

Dolan, in contrast, tweeting in terms well-known to tradition, plainly stated that the DP is immoral, thus going beyond what Francis was willing to say. That’s a problem. Indeed, it’s two problems....
+Dolan was never renowned for his moral-theo creds, and he stepped into it again.  Perhaps losing the Bp. Sheen case has addled the poor fellow, eh?

Dolan is a typical Judas Conciliarist. Why expect any different from these pigs?

So if he hears that a Catholic governor supports capital punishment for murderers, will he say "Bravo!" and "Good for him!", or does he reserve that kind of praise for very special sins?

"Sins"? What are those? Failing to contribute to "Catholic" Charities?
