The President of Notre Dame University is apparently a moron who holds a Ph.D. from Oxford. He's clearly educated beyond his intelligence, as was the case with Rembert Weakland, OSB, disgraced former Archbishop of Milwaukee.
Oh, by the way, the ND Prexy vomited all over himself in the Rembertian Way: making stupid, indefensible, and vaguely defensive remarks about sexual predators who prefer attacking children.
Fortunately, every Catholic with common sense has long ignored the twit-parade which heads "Catholic" colleges such as Marquette, USF, Fordham, and Notre Dame. That won't change soon.
It's the part about ignoring the Pope that's bothersome.
