Peter is completely, totally, unalterably opposed to women serving in combat roles. You can read his entire post--some of which is slightly graphic--and understand why he (and a lot of others, including yours truly) holds that position.
Mid-post, however, he makes a point which is very important.
...Women are seen as being there to be exploited, nothing more.
That's a shocking, disgusting thing to say in a First World society where women are equal to men in every way . . . but they're only equal in that First World society. ....
A lot of pixels have been devoted to tearing down those who are chary of admitting immigrants willy-nilly, and in large numbers. After all, it is argued, 'we are all brothers, equal....' (etc.)
That's an argument which deliberately elides the crucial middle: that the cultures are "equal." It is true that 'we are all children of God.' But when the culture of the immigrant is NOT equal, there's no moral imperative to admit 'em, period. None.
