Yup. Boehner's a Lying Slut

Turns out the Boehner was FOR the Congressional exemption before he was AGAINST it.

How's the anti-TEA party gang going to spin this, Charlie?  RoJo?  Senselessbrenner?  Isn't Ryan part of "leadership"?  Hmmmmmmm????

This is all one giant F.U. to the non-ruling class (that's you, suckah.)

There IS no Congressional exemption for Obamacare. There never was a Congressional exemption. What Boehner was for was the "employer" contribution that all federal employees had previously received to be reinstated. All Congressional leaders were for it.

Boehner is still a lying hypocrite.

It IS an exemption - those on the individual exchanges aren't supposed to receive compensation from their employer for the costs of health insurance, and those making as much as Congresscritters and staffers make aren't supposed to receive taxpayer subsidies.

Taking Egg's rationale to its logical conclusion, he's arguing for the wealthy to pay a higher share of taxes.

Egg's comment would be true....except it's not.

The ACA exchanges are marketplaces for individuals and businesses to obtain health care insurance at competitive prices

Businesses that get their employee health care policies from ACA exchanges, by definition, are compensating their employees with employer contributions to health care premium while getting their insurance through an exchange.

So Egg has egg on his face.

I see the anons are as brainless as ever. They haven't plowed through the two acts that make up the heart of PlaceboCare.

While employers (both private and governmental, depending on whether there is a restriction on changing elected officials' compensation mid-session) can set pay at whatever level they wish whenever they wish, they cannot specify that an amount of compensation is to go toward purchasing health insurance on the individual exchanges. That specificity is what is illegal about the Congressional waiver from PlaceboCare for both the Congresscritters and their staff.

Moreover, the pay of Congresscritters cannot be altered mid-session, so the dodge of a pay raise is also illegal (unconstitutional, actually).
