Newt Goes Nuts

Gingrich is a bomb-thrower, and a reasonably good thinker.  But not always.

Newt Gingrich blames the Republican party for fostering a corrosive culture that produced Romney as its candidate. The former House Speaker argued that the GOP has grown stale and introverted, putting itself on the wrong side of history on issues like immigration and painting itself into a corner on others, like gay marriage.

On gay marriage, Gingrich says that Republicans can no longer close their eyes to the course of public opinion. While he continues to profess a belief that marriage is defined as being between a man and a woman, he suggests that the party (and he himself) could accept a distinction between a “marriage in a church from a legal document issued by the state” — the latter being acceptable...

Wrong.

"Public opinion" is not a determinant of right action--at least not in and of itself.

Newt would be well-advised to work on leadership skills, not Political Think.

Remember...Newt is a converted Catholic...or so he professes.

With thinking like this bullshit humanisn, Newt ain't no Catholic...no matter what he wants to moniker himself.

Like most things in life when you really come down to it, Catholicism and TRUTH are black and white.

PRACTICING homosexuality is an abomination.

Suffering in silence through virtue? That judgement is left to an Omnipotent Cosmic Conscious Mind far greaterthan any I know.

If following public opinion were always right, then crucifying Christ was justified.

The RINOs are a reprehensible lot...as are the Dems, all politicians, and all government employe thieves.

Politics...the imperfect search for the perfect waffle.

crucifying Christ was justified.

It wasn't only justified, it was vital.

Of course Gingrich is a ninny who is unworthy of comment but I must say that he raised my eyebrows with his suggestion that "public opinion" supports sodomite marriage. Exactly what "public opinion" is he referring to, the one garnered by interviewers in Hollywood, New York and the Castro district of San Francisco?

The man is hopeless. As he alwyas was.
