No surprise here:
The state Senate voted Tuesday to reject the latest version of mining legislation, prompting a company that planned a mine in northern Wisocnsin to announce it is pulling the plug on the project.
The Senate voted 17-16 with GOP Sen. Dale Schultz joining all 16 Dems in rejecting the Joint Finance Committee's substitute amendment...
Those ~2400 jobs weren't "high tech," nor AFSCME, nor teachers, nor in Madistan.
So who needed them, anyway?
Nobody important.

The GOP looks like a bunch of dummies from where I stand. If they really wanted this to pass, how about getting Schultz on board before the vote?
People can complain all they want. The GOP has a majority in the Senate right? This blunder is on them.
If the current GOP bunch of Dummies in Wisconsin doesn't look after you, throw the friggin RINOs out. Yesterday we did just that in Ohio 2nd district primary race with John Boehner's TARP voting buddy, Mean Jean Schmidt.
Jean Schmidt lost a primary to a Tea Party candidate. Army Reserves Major Brad Wenstrup. A medical Doctor & a political newby.
Read about it here:

We are singing this song in south west ohio today in celebration of Jean Schmidts loss!!

I just laugh when the partisans on the right and left label their own brethren as anything less than a "true" conservative or liberal when he/she votes based on their conscious and principles.
Strupp is dead-on...the blame lies squarely on Republicans.
Yes, Strupp. God forbid a Democrat representing people that would BENEFIT from the mine should actually vote for it, rather than sticking it to Walker. You're off on this one. This would have benefited so many who need it. Yea, repubs sure are dummies for trying to work for jobs while dems are brilliant in working against employing their constituents. Wow.
Schultz is NOT a conservative. Never has been, never will be.
That's not 'name-calling.' That's the truth.
But he IS a Republican within a Republican majority Senate.
Strupp, what makes you think Repubs are monolithic in their ideology? I understand why the Repubs aren't harder on the poof. He might take his ball and go play with the Democrats, giving them the majority. They'd welcome him with open arms. As long as he's useful, that is. Then again, he's more one of them than anything else, hence the term rino. Again, apparently the Democrats hate Walker so much they'll torch the State as long as he's in office. That's despicable.
Haha....What makes me think Republicans are monolithic in ideology? Ha! You've got to be kidding me? If you're not a lockstep drone Congressional Republican, than you're a RINO, which is considered a subhuman species by you folks.
FYI, I'm not a Republican, though on some issues, I tend to side with them. I lean more towards the Libertarians, though I'm no Paulite. Don't get lazy Strupp. I came to like your opinions because you weren't lazy.
I was noticing that I've been getting lazy on commentary for the past month or so. March has been nuts over here. I'll step it up. Can't leave Dadster unchecked for too long. Bad for everyone.
I would agree with you. I like him, especially when you sharpen him! :-) My life is about to get back to normal. If I pass my recert physical, I can get back to work. I've been off since jan 13. Going bonzo! Have a good day!
