A Banger: Manufacturing in the USA

We've watched the ISM on-and-off for a few decades.

This report is a banger.

...overall, the U.S. manufacturing sector is continuing to expand significantly.  The current index of 55.6 percent in July is 2.3 percentage points above the June figure and the highest reading since May 2022 (55.9 percent), when we were trying to recover from the COVID-19 shutdowns and supply chain problems....

Not the highest ISM number by far (70's a few times in decades past); but if this is trend, then Trump's "Golden Age" is coming.

Of course, he has to get out of Israel's War before the US runs out of diesel fuel.

And yet Manufacturing jobs is stagnant over the past 10 years. Because we are automating so many of the jobs that were done by hand decades ago.
