Barack Obama ran a behind-the-scenes PR campaign on his behalf so as to paper over Fauci’s funding of unimaginably sadistic animal torture in the name of The Science™, in which beagles, whose vocal cords were cut so their cries of pain wouldn’t disturb the researchers, had their heads locked in mesh cages while sand flies slowly ate their flesh.

In late 2021, the watchdog group White Coat Waste Project publicized concerns regarding a research paper out of a lab in Tunisia testing treatments for leishmaniasis (a parasitic disease spread by sand flies).
Viral images showed beagles with their heads in mesh containers.
The Inaccuracy: The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), formerly directed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, DID NOT fund that specific sand fly/mesh cage study. The scientific journal publishing the study issued a correction noting that the researchers had mistakenly listed NIAID as a financial backer when it had not provided support for that trial.
While NIAID did fund other separate drug toxicity/testing projects involving dogs domestically where devocalization (cordectomy) was noted in contractor documents, the specific "sand fly eating flesh" imagery and study widely shared online were ERRONEOUSLY tied to Fauci's agency.
Recently disclosed personal diary and correspondence records noted that during the height of the 2021 "Beaglegate" public relations backlash, Dr. Fauci privately communicated with various figures, including former President Barack Obama and media contacts, expressing frustration over the persistent attacks and false attribution of the Tunisian study to his agency.
Characterizing this as Barack Obama running a "behind-the-scenes PR campaign" to "paper over... sadistic animal torture" is a hyperbolic and conspiratorial misrepresentation. Private outreach or expressions of support among public figures facing coordinated political and media firestorms do not equate to a clandestine executive-level PR operation covering up illegal or sadistic abuse.

So, the point is, Fauci is to science as Bernie Madoff is to investing. It’s a con game. I’m hoping that Rand Paul and company ask the right questions. What they should have done was focused on the five things I was involved in. In 2023, Navarro was convicted on both counts, and in 2024, he was sentenced to four months in jail, becoming the first former White House official imprisoned on a contempt-of-Congress conviction.
Moreover, in July 2020,, Navarro touted a widely criticized study as showing that hydroxychloroquine was an effective coronavirus treatment; public health experts pointed to limitations with the study and to the fact that multiple randomized controlled trials failed to conclude that hydroxychloroquine was an effective treatment.

High-quality scientific data consistently demonstrated that standard doses of ivermectin did not speed up recovery, prevent hospitalization, or reduce mortality from COVID-19 any better than a placebo.
Major medical bodies worldwide—including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), and the FDA—independently recommended against its use outside of clinical trials based on this empirical evidence.
