there is An old story Apocryphal or not I do not know that Cardinal George the predecessor of Cardinal CUPICH Asked for Senator Durbin to come to his office to discuss the question of abortion and Senator Durbin's enthusiastic support for abortion
At some point in the conversation according to the story Cardinal George said to Senator Durbin, "Senator Durbin, our religion does not allow for the killing of babies."
at which point Senator Durbin stood and walked to the door, turned to Cardinal George and said "Not YOUR religion."
Well, I guess that just proves Durbin is following his own "religion" like many of his ilk and not the Roman Catholic church of Cardinal George he claims to be a member of.
