The Milwaukee County Executive, parking-scofflaw Chris Abele, was whining all over the teevee last night that the mean ol' Attorney General sent a nasty letter demanding that Abele's County abide by the law.
(The slimeball D.A. was next to him pretending that the 1st Amendment is still operative in Wisconsin. That would be the Amendment which he attempted to strangle in its bed. What a laugh that turkey really is.)
Anyhow.
This is the language which Crying Abele doesn't like:
...Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may
not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official
from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization
Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status,
lawful or unlawful, of any individual....
All Abele has to do is certify that Milwaukee County abides by that Federal law. Is it that hard, Chris? Was it that hard to pay all your parking tickets, Chris???
