It's a lot of fun to watch Herman Cain just roll along and make "errors."
Why? Because that tells you that Herman Cain is not part of the Elite Establishment. And of course, when he has a proposal (9-9-9) which would dis-enfranchise 100,000 tax-lawyers and another 500,000 CPAs--not to mention several thousand Elite-Club-Member lobbyists--the chorus of screeching gets very loud, indeed. It's an "error," they say.
When he opines that 'perhaps' he'd do some horse-trading with Gitmo terrorists, several thousand "national security"/Permanent War" types see job-losses, along with the possibility that--as Israel decided--there may be some battles not worth fighting, so long as you win the war. That means their influence will be diminished.
Sacre bleu!! It's an "error."
Cain is looking at the Federal Jabba-the-Hutt just like most citizens do.
It drives the camp-followers crazy. And that is NOT "an error." It's a warning to the camp-follower, crony capitalist, tit-sucking bunch.
They're scared of Herman.

So, that means if Romney is the GOP nominee, you and your followers of this blog will not vote for him (or others of a similar ilk), right? After all, he and his cronies are part of the problem.
Otherwise, are you not contributing to our continued woes
of representative government by voting in establishment types?
Doesn't the "lesser of two evils" philosophy only further our apparent downward spiral?
Why don't more Tea Partiers challenge the GOP regulars in the primaries if the Tea Partiers do not trust them to make the "proper" decisions?
Why don't more Tea Partiers truly say "Enough" and form their own party, with Cain leading the way, IF the system is beyond repair?
Zorro
You've finally earned Foust Status!
Congratulations!
This means that, going forward, I will simply ignore your comments rather than bothering with them.
Now go bother someone else from Professor McAdams' blogroll.
Cain justs looks like an establishment Republican to me:

Brookings, eh?
Well, I'll accept their analysis, if only to retort that 'it's a starting point.'
The plan has "fair tax" elements with a rebate plan based on poverty level--that is good. As Santorum observed, it does not (apparently) have a child-allowance.
These items can be fixed. What's charming--and very attractive--is dumping the 1040 into the shredder and still obtaining sufficient revs.
Thanks, Dad29, for that undistinguished honor. We shall see if you hold true to your "promise".
Regardless, my 11:58 a.m. is validated by your designation. The two questions I posed are legitimate despite your insistence that they are Foustian.
Zorro
Hey buddy!! Since Dad has designated you as Foust-Lite, that means I get to play.
The lesser of two evils MUST be chosen. De duobus malis, minus est semper eligendum.
David
Sorry, David, but that logic doesn't cut it when Dad29 repeatedly and constantly calls out the Beltway boyzzz/corpotocrats AND who use movements to suit their own ends.
Either put up or shut up.
The Tea Party can challenge (R)'s in primaries or form a third party that espouses conservative ideals if they are truly serious about reforming government. The lesser of two evils only perpetuates the broken system because it assumes the powers are beholden to the people.
Zorro
David, refer to Dad29's "The Pubbies" post. I rest my case.
Zorro
In an election year when the incumbent is as vulnerable as Teh One, it must drive the Davidians and Dadnosts nuts that their party can't find a viable candidate. My party for a horse!
Any candidate the Republicans put forth is preferable to the socialist piece of crap we have now.
Think about it for a second. Do you really care if you choose the best car if the alternative is walking 100 miles?
Soon, God willing, America will have a real president again. Not someone who actively works to destroy the country and it's economy.
David
And that "real" president again will be a "true" conservative? who will ensure that your values will be promoted? who will not incur the repeated wrath of Dad29?
Please, spare me.
"Do you really care if you choose the best car if the alternative is walking 100 miles?"
I'd rather walk 100 miles--or find an alternative like talking the bus or train--if the two cars generally break down and cost me a ton of money!
"Not someone who actively works to destroy the country and it's economy."
What a tired talking point!
Zorro
sorry, taking the bus or train...
"Not someone who actively works to destroy the country and it's economy."
We didn't achieve that under the last president?
