Sen. Rick Scott released an 11-point plan for Republicans to utilize during the campaign season.
Mitch McConnell, obedient servant of multiple "other interests" doesn't like that. That's easily explained by Point Five of the plan: "We will grow America’s economy, starve Washington’s economy, and stop Socialism."
It's not surprising that McConnell objects to 'defining men as men and women as women'; nor that he objects to 100% school-choice. After all, the laws of Nature are irrelevant to McConnell and all his friends. It's also not surprising that McConnell begins by lying about Scott's plan--specifically, about paying taxes. McConnell leads the GOPe which desperately wants bread-and-circuses to obscure its real agenda, which has little to do with America and LOTS to do with obtaining lobbyist funds for McConnell and his bunch.
In other words, it's all about the money. Surprised?
McConnell does make a tactical error which reveals his weakness:
... “If we’re fortunate enough to have the majority next year, I’ll be the majority leader. I’ll decide in consultation with my members what to put on the floor,”...
Mitchie-Poo knows that his "majority leader" status is in grave danger.
Let's keep it that way.
