Any fool can see it here in the USA, most recently at the SCOTUS hearings where a "highly-educated" representative of the Nekulturniy declares that (s)he cannot define "woman" and has a soft spot in her heart for the most depraved of criminals: baby-rapists. Then there's the near-worship of homosexuals and transsexuals, the demolition of words, the denial of truth (pick any one), the active measures against Church and family..........need we go on?

Did Putin "start the war"? Under Luongo's thesis, no. Note what Luongo said about Donbass, where the Ukrainian army is concentrated. Instead, Russia launched a self-defense offensive, the objective being return of Eastern Ukraine/Donbass to Russia, as it was under Catherine the Great and the succeeding Tsars. The objective is NOT Kiev, nor Lvov. Military installations in those areas were targeted and Russia insists that civilian casualties are as minimal as possible.

The sanctions packages implemented since then were already prepared. They were happening no matter what move Putin made....
Putin knew about them (he does have spies, you know.) In fact, he referred to them in previous remarks.
The most explosive charge?

Luongo makes the point that Russia is only the first commodity-seller (wheat, corn, fertilizer, petroleum) to demand payment in either rubles or gold. He suspects that others (Saudi Arabia, India, Indonesia, e.g.) will do the same, using gold, riyals, or rupees (etc.) as the currency. That will reduce the value of the USD--which has been fiat since Nixon--and certainly will help to damage the US economy.
The missing piece here? China. Maybe Luongo thinks that China will be happy to sit on the sidelines, quietly providing Putin with whatever he needs while watching the Global West sink into the mire in Ukraine. That remains to be seen, although China must be happy with what's transpired so far. Will China take the opportunity to grab Taiwan? Why not? Who's going to stop that??
Either way, this is a Culture War as much as a hot one. Tech, finance (BlackRock), and Government have their moment because Biden/Deep State, and they intend to use it. You will be tax-farmed, and you may have nothing--but you will like it, comrade.
How long will that last?
