Sure Enough!! CRT Emerged at UW-Madison

The emergence of Critical Race Theory (a Marxist-Hegelian derivative) began as a legal theory at Harvard, but only blossomed as "Critical Race Theory" after a 1989 conference held at UW-Madison, according to one of that conference's attendees/organizers.

DELGADO: I was a member of the founding conference. Two dozen of us gathered in Madison, Wisconsin to see what we had in common and whether we could plan a joint action in the future, whether we had a scholarly agenda we could share, and perhaps a name for the organization. I had taught at the University of Wisconsin, and Kim Crenshaw later joined the faculty as well.

The school seemed a logical site for it because of the Institute for Legal Studies that David Trubek was running at that time and because of the Hastie Fellowship program. The school was a center of left academic legal thought. So we gathered at that convent for two and a half days, around a table in an austere room with stained glass windows and crucifixes here and there-an odd place for a bunch of Marxists-and worked out a set of principles. Then we went our separate ways. Most of us who were there have gone on to become prominent critical race theorists, including Kim Crenshaw, who spoke at the Iowa conference, as well as Mani Matsuda and Charles Lawrence, who both are here in spirit. Derrick Bell, who was doing critical race theory long before it had a name, was at the Madison workshop and has been something of an intellectual godfather for the movement. So we were off and running.

As to the UW:  it has always been a center of demi-Marxist materialism and has always (directly or indirectly) been in opposition to the Church and its doctrines.  Isn't it nice to know that we all pay an enormous amount of money to sustain that place?

Teamsters Denounce Teamsters

Taking bets that actual Teamsters didn't write this.

The following is the official statement of Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa regarding the ongoing blockade by the Freedom Convoy protest at the United States-Canada border.

“The Teamsters Union denounces the ongoing Freedom Convoy protest at the Canadian border that continues to hurt workers and negatively impact our economy. The livelihood of working Americans and Canadians in the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing sectors is threatened by this blockade.

“Our economy is growing under the Biden Administration, and this disruption in international trade threatens to derail the gains we have made. Our members are some of the hardest workers in the country and are being prevented from doing their jobs. The Teamsters call on the organizers of this action to end this protest and instead, engage in meaningful political discourse with the Canadian government to find a solution.”

'Engage in meaningful ....discourse' only works if the OTHER party wants to do the same, you dumbass.

Durham: Hillary's Lawyers Are Dirtbags

"Lawyers are dirtbags" is not news to most of us, particularly when we are talking about Sussman and Elias--Hillary's lawyers.  Hillary, believe it or not, is even worse.

...Fox News reports that at Sussman’s trial, Durham will establish that among the ill begotten [sic] data foraged by Tech Executive-1 and his associates is the domain name systems (DNS) internet traffic pertaining to “(i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP).

The former chief investigator of the Trump-Russia probe for the House Intelligence Committee, Kash Patel, said the filing “definitively shows that the Hillary Clinton campaign directly funded and ordered its lawyers at Perkins Cole [sic] to orchestrate a criminal enterprise to fabricate a connection between President Trump and Russia.”...

That's why Perkins Coie pushed Elias out the door.  Don't kid yourself--that's what happened, no matter how Elias spins it.  Elias remains on the payroll of the Democrat Party--of course.

Get the popcorn!

Inflation and Mortgage Payments

Some of you young ones should be aware of this.

Inflation is usually cured--in part--by an increase in interest rates.  That causes spending to slow down as people pay more for credit, thus having less for other 'stuff.'

A $300K 30-year mortgage at 3% produces a payment of $1,257/month plus property tax.

The same principal and term at 4.5%, however, requires $1,520/month plus property tax.

That's $260/month you won't be spending on 'stuff.'

See?

Coming to a Grocer Near You

The "Kill Switch" Thing

Your Government actually DOES want 'kill switches'--remote-activated--in every vehicle.

"Reliable Sources" on Russki Invasion?

We all know that Biden* needs a distraction from the calamities he caused in the US.

And we all know that certain "other interests" (hint:  weapons manufacturers and Dick Cheney) need a revenue boost to keep up with BidenFlation or something.

So this announcement is..........expected.

US President Joe Biden (pictured inset right) arranged an urgent call with his Russian counterpart (Putin pictured inset left) on Saturday to discuss the Ukraine crisis, after 'extremely detailed' invasion plans for an attack on Wednesday, seen by the Secret Service, CIA and the Pentagon, stoked fears of war in eastern Europe....

It must be true.  Every perjurer in D.C. swears to it!!

SCOWI: No Drop-Boxes in April Election

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled that drop-boxes WILL BE ILLEGAL for the April elections in this State.  In addition, ONLY THE VOTER can deliver his/her vote to the elections clerk.  Nobody else.

They continue to ponder whether they are an illegal construct pushed by the Wisconsin Elections Commission Democrat-Electing Fraud Perps.

Note how Local Pravda writes the story--as though there's some hope that the drop-boxes will suddenly become 'legal' in a subsequent SCOWI decision.

Crises ARE the Plan

Add 2+2, get 4.

Since the Fraud of '20, the current regime has created a foreign invasion crisis at the southern border, has created a critical worker shortage, is working on creating a war with Russia, is preparing for mass arrests of 'domestic terrorists,' (read: citizen-patriots), created a healthcare-worker crisis, and will shortly have created a domestic energy crisis.

Subordinate governments have created a crime crisis through non-charging and/or non-imprisonment.

It has also attempted to worsen inflation through spending into the teeth of a stagnating economy which some predict will become an economy in serious recession.

It's the Cloward-Pliven thing in "crises."

Pay attention.  Prepare your pantries and gun-cabinets.  It may come to that.

"Mo' Vaxx!!!" They Say

Remember they told us that 'the booster would keep you out of the hospital'?

Nope.

...Researchers with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other institutions found the booster effectiveness against emergency department or urgent care (ED/UC) visits held at 87 percent during the first two months after a third dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, but dropped to 66 percent between four and five months after receipt of the booster.

Protection against hospitalization also decreased over time, from 91 percent in the first two months after the booster to 78 percent four or more months after the third dose....

What to do?

ANOTHER booster!!

...That’s led U.S. health authorities, including the CDC, to recommend three doses of the Pfizer and Moderna jabs, and some officials have hinted that a second booster will be recommended in the future....

In another development, Baghdad Bob stated that 'trust in the CDC is at an all-time high.'

Think the Bucks Will Pick Up Enes Freedom?

The NBA decided that Freedom won't be part of the league.

Red Chinese money will, instead.

WEC's 'Extra Voters' List

The Wisconsin Election Commission Democrat Electing Machine maintains a voter database.

Wisconsin has about 4 million adults.

The database has 7.1 million names.

Every four years, the database gets a little smaller through 'housecleaning,'--but 3 million excess??

Sure, Robin.  It's all clean and wonderful.

Canadian "Conservatives": No Principles, Mate!

When it's a question of the money---well....Conservatives have priorities!

“To all of you who are taking part in the protests, I believe the time has come for you to take down the barricades, stop the disruptive action and come together,” [Conservative leader] Bergen said on Thursday. “The economy that you want to see reopen is hurting. Farmers, manufacturers, small businesses and families are suffering. I believe this is not what you want to do.”

Here's the Big Lie Line--one that she learned from Paul Ryan:

Bergen promised that, if the protests concluded, the Conservative Party “will not stop until the mandates have ended.”

Just like how Ryan ended ObamaCare and Continuing Resolutions.

Canadian Government Gets Grabby With $$$

Despite the protests of GiveSendGo, the Canadian Government has managed to persuade some (Canadian) judge that money donated to the Canadian truckers is ........in furtherance of some horrible crime, like murder rape sodomy insurrection riot criminal damage to property......well, actually.....Trespassing with Honking enhancer.

Maybe we'll just have to drive to the border and put cash into the hands of the truckers.  Wouldn't bother me in the least.  While I'm at it, a trailer-load of diesel-filled jerry cans could go along for the ride!

Local Pravda Distorts Campaign Lit Problem

We've come to expect *stuff* from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Pravda, a branch office of USA PedoPaper.

And we GET IT!!!

A highly-qualified candidate is running for a Board of Education slot in the increasingly-problematic Elmbrook District.  While the District has a reputation for excellence, that's something that is eroding; internal documents are showing a decline in academics which extends back before the pandemic.  There are also some documented problems with sex surveys, highly inappropriate faculty signature-links, and "oops!!" problems with restricting access to........ahhh......racy materials.  You pay a LOT in taxes for a fading rose.

So when someone is running for a Board slot looking for accountability, the sliming will commence.

The newspaper's account leaves the impression that one endorsement (a strong one!!) was illicitly placed on the candidate's materials and website by design, so as to fool everyone.

Reality?  Very different.

I contacted my friend and former colleague, Amy Margeson and asked if she would endorse me in my campaign for a seat on Elmbrook's School Board. Amy agreed and our campaign used it on both the website and for door-hanger flyers.

On January 31, 2022, Amy contacted me and said that I was to immediately discontinue any usage of the endorsement for any campaign related purposes.

Although I found this request unusual, as a courtesy to my friend, I directed my team to immediately take down the website endorsement page and discontinue door-hanger distributions. These were completed within one hour’s time.

The J/S article first states erroneously that Amy's endorsements were also used in USPS mailing campaigns. They were not.

I'm also confused by the quote printed by J/S, where it appears that Amy says she "did not agree to the use of any comments or statements on candidate materials", but goes on to say, "I did not endorse any political candidate for the position of Elmbrook school board from a personal or professional capacity."

Unfortunately, the documented conversation between us disputes these claims.

As I have not heard from any officials from Advocate Aurora Healthcare regarding AAH endorsement usage, I can only assume this is an internal policy matter within the company. My campaign now considers this matter closed and I have instructed my team to restore the endorsements page without Amy's contribution.

Pravda did mention an Aurora policy prohibiting employees from using the Aurora name in any political endorsement in its piece.

Ms. Lim did ALL the right things, right away.  That's the kind of person who should sit on the Board.

Election Crimes? Evidence, Yes. Prosecution? Nope

The Racine County DA will not prosecute the Wisconsin Elections Commission Democrat Electing Machine for its criminal advice.

They don't live in the County.

So yes, there's evidence, as Sheriff Schmaling found.  Plenty of evidence.

But, as we've grown to understand, there is zero accountability for criminal Government actors.

The Stupid at Harvard

Another of Obama's bunch of twerps shouts out!!

Harvard professor, CNN analyst and former Obama admin undersecretary of Homeland Security Juliette Kayyem has called for violence and vandalism against Freedom Convoy protesters who have amassed on the bridge that connects Detroit, Michigan to Windsor, Ontario.

"The Ambassador Bridge link constitutes 28% of annual trade movement between US and Canada," tweeted Kayyem. "Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks."

This dumb bimbo doesn't realize that after you "slash the tires" 'moving the trucks' will be near-impossible.

Then there's her advocacy of violence and criminal damage to property.

See why we have a Second Amendment?

Aquinas Refines Epictetus

Grim has a running commentary on Epictetus, the Stoic.

...Now re-read Enchiridion XXVII. Aquinas' view is not Epictetus', who is centuries too early. His view of what the true good for humans is, and is not, is laid out there. The gods built the good for us into the world, and we should never doubt it -- nor should we doubt them and their goodness, either, because they built us a world in which the human good is both available and attainable. Mistaking the random acts of fate for evil is an error; just as, for Aquinas, it will prove to be an error to mistake human survival for the true good, the latter being a kind of existence that we do not have naturally but might obtain through divine grace. For Aquinas too the good is available and attainable, and via a divine action that made it so: but it is a different conception of the good....

The entire series is worth the read.  This particular part is a refutation of Modernity's lust for eternal life on Earth, manifested in the Fauci Cult.

More of Robin Vos' Fraudlection

Robin Vos and Scott Fitzgerald sent a strongly-worded letter to the Dane County clerk over her totally-illegal 'Vote in the Park' event.

That's the limit of Robin's concerns with Election Fraud.

Too bad.

One apartment complex in Madison that houses less than 700 has 1,631 registered "voters." The building had a 102% turnout rate on 11/3

113 ballots were cast from address where no one lives

Rock County, WI 5.6% illegally cast ballots from voters who moved and phantom votes Extrapolates to 4,795 in one county

That's only three of the items relayed by Liz.

Pravda-Milwaukee covered this with a story about the presenter having been convicted of somethin'somethin.  Not one word about what he said.

Hey, Robin!!  Watch for the Waukesha County caucus resolution calling for your resignation.

It's coming, baby.

Fertilizer Prices Double

For people like AOC, a doubling of fertilizer prices is meaningless, because she thinks food is grown right in the grocery store's back room.

For the rest of the world, particularly the poor, a doubling of fertilizer prices is a problem.

...Between September 2020 and the end of 2021, the price of ammonia increased 210 percent, liquid nitrogen increased 159 percent, urea 155 percent, monoammonium phosphate (MAP) 125 percent, diammonium phosphate (DAP) over 100 percent, and potash rose 134 percent on average across the country....

...The price hikes are being blamed on the “soaring prices for the natural gas used to produce them, and severe storms in the United States that disrupted production,” per Reuters reports, while experts disagree with the assumption there is a shortage of fertilizers.

“There is fertilizer in the United States. It is expensive primarily due to fluctuations in the world energy market, which influences price,” stated Kreg Ruhl, senior market manager of Growmark, an Illinois-based agricultural supply cooperative....

"Soaring prices for natural gas...."

Bai-Den's demolition of pipeline and exploration permits may have had something to do with that.  But you won't find that in MSM stories, will you?

Bai-Den to "Compensate" WHO?

Not a lot of details here, but one phrase stands out.

President Joe Biden is expected to use executive authority to move some $7 billion of the Afghan central bank's assets frozen in the American funding system to fund humanitarian relief in Afghanistan and compensate victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks....

Oh. OK.

But wait!

...The other $3.5 billion would remain in the United States and be used to fund ongoing litigation by U.S. victims of terrorism...

He's not "compensating victims."

He's funding PI lawyers.

Surprised??

*Shock*: CIA Domestic Spying, Too

Nobody should be surprised at this.  But also remember that Congress NEVER holds anyone responsible for their illegal activity.  Is Brennan in prison?  Comey?

...In a press release Thursday, [Senators] Wyden and Heinrich said they were not fully aware of the nature of the unnamed program until last year despite being members of the Intelligence Committee.

"Throughout this period, the CIA has secretly conducted its own bulk program [redacted]. It has done so entirely outside the statutory framework that Congress and the public believe govern this collection and without any of the judicial, congressional, or even executive branch oversight that comes with FISA collection. This basic fact has been kept from the public and from Congress. Until the PCLOB report was delivered last month, the nature and full extent of the CIA's collection was withheld even from the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence," the senators said in a letter to the CIA director last April that was declassified Thursday....

When the top guy openly commits perjury before Congress, you can bet that the rest of the bunch is shady at best.

"Cleanest Election" FRAUD in History

Colorado numbers are in.

...In sum, the population of Colorado increases by 1-1.5% per yearHowever, Biden's voter increase above other famous democrats such as Obama or Clinton from years: (2016/18) to 2020, is a Whopping = 33.3333% increase in votes over Clinton, Obama and Governor Polis.  Where did Biden get the extra 450,000 ballots? in a state that has only grown by only (about 200,000) people while Trump also increased his margin by 150,000 people of which 1,364,607 Trump votes is above both Hillary and Obama's best performances?

While Trump increased his Colorado support in 2020 by almost 150,000 people in Colorado, Mr. Biden was somehow allotted another 450,000 votes (a 33% Percent Increase)...

This would explain the arrest of a Colorado elections clerk--a Gold Star mom--as ordered by the Colorado A.G. and Soros-backed Sec/State.

Why "Calvin" Is My Fave

Courtesy of a good friend, I have the hard-bound complete Calvin in my library.

Here's one reason why:

Actually, It's SNOT-grass

Some babe on the public dole as an Ass. Democrat gives advice.

"If parents want to 'have a say' in their child's education, they should home school or pay for private school out of their family budget."

That was deleted, but not fast enough.  Now it's national through the good graces of Instapundit.

Ms. Snotgrass has a lame-ass excuse as you might expect.

Doesn't cut the mustard, honey.

US Immigration Service Now US INVASION Service

The twits in D.C. actually think that since they hold an office temporarily, they can change this nation permanently.

A key federal agency on Feb. 10 changed its mission statement, removing several key phrases.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) “upholds America’s promise as a nation of welcome and possibility with fairness, integrity, and respect for all we serve,” the new mission statement says.

Under the old statement, the agency was described as “administer[ing] the nation’s lawful immigration system, safeguarding its integrity and promise by efficiently and fairly adjudicating requests for immigration benefits while protecting Americans, securing the homeland, and honoring our values.”...

That's not a minor tweak.

This begs the question:  Who the Hell do you think you serve?

How To Lie About Inflation

The Feds have a number of techniques by which they can 'manage' numbers to the advantage (or disadvantage) of the current Regime.  Earlier this year we mentioned that the GDP had been goosed by the Feds by not logging in the December imports--which would have reduced GDP.

Now, they're managing the inflation numbers by "weighting."

...the BLS readjusted the weighting for relative price importance, putting added weight to urban economic priorities (ie. food at restaurants), which indicates their intent to downplay the scale of inflation overall.  The topline statistic of 7.5% annual inflation (year over year) is bad; however, because of weighting that figure belies the bigger issue, it’s actually much worse.  In January alone inflation jumped 0.8% (unadjusted), primarily driven by the first-round of 2022 consumer inflation that preexisted since early December 2021....

...You can see the statistical smoothing to present the softest inflation data by looking at Food at Home, Meats, Poultry and Fish.  The actual rate of inflation in that category is 40%+ at retail.  The BLS deemphasizes the price increase by putting less economic importance on the category and they come up with a 12.2% increase, one third of the actual price we are feeling....

In the near future, a grocery may have to call the husband to 'redeem' the wife--held captive by the grocer for a larger payment.  Let's hope that the husband can come up with the cash.

FIFTY Basis Point Fed Pop Coming?

At least one Federal Reserve Governor is talking about a fifty basis-point pop in rates

That's one-half of 1%.  It's like moving your mortgage rate from 3.0% to 3.5%.

That's a very big pop for the Fed.

...Yield curve getting close to inverting and making the call – 2s/10s less than 50 basis points away and 5s/10s within 10 basis points. Never mind bonds – things are getting very interesting for the stock market. Will the bulls fight the Fed?

St.Louis Fed's Bullard piled on, urging a 50bps hike asap... and suggesting an inter-meeting hike (and a Q2 start to QT)....

More speculation:  the Fed will raise rates SEVEN times this year.

All in the name of crushing inflation.  Which it very well may do, but of course, it will also crush the economy.  Plenty of charts at the link.

"Objectively Reasonable" Murder by Another CapCop

A woman named Rosanne Boyland was gassed, then beaten to death on January 6th in a capitol-building tunnel.

The killing was called "objectively reasonable" by a CapCop investigator.

Turn that around.  Say one of the 'rioters' beat a CapCop to death.........would you EVER hear the end of it?

Didn't think so.

Our Pubbie Posers

This is not a revelation to anyone who's been paying attention.

But it's good to see it as a reminderthey all lie, nearly all the time.

...There were several conservative bills that were recently sent to Governor Evers, knowing full that they would be vetoed. Bills like the Fetal Tissue bill, Constitutional Carry, the Heartbeat Abortion bill, and of course the MPS breakup bill. Do you know how many of those bills saw the light of day during those EIGHT Walker years?

That’s right, NONE OF THEM!...

Plenty more at the link.

Shall we talk about Robin Vos?  How about Fitzgerald, who now sends out utterly stupid "poll" questions to pretend that he's a good guy?

Does Fitzie need a good primary-ing??

This is about Job Security and Campaign Money.  If the Republicans (or Democrats) actually passed those bills their base wants, they wouldn't have reasons to beat their base for Mo' Money!

And most of those Leggies would have trouble finding a job in the real economy, too.  Some tell tales about their 'small business' background.  Umnnhhh, yup, right.

Pfizer Warns of 'Risks' in 4Q Statement

Pfizer apparently is concerned with 'data integrity' of tests for its medications.

"...challenges related to public confidence or awareness of our COVID-19 vaccine or Paxlovid, including challenges driven by misinformation, access, CONCERNS ABOUT CLINICAL DATA INTEGRITY and prescriber and pharmacy education;"

Lots more at this link.

What could that possibly mean?

Bai-Den-TruDope Mandates Shut Down Automotives

The Bai-Den* and TruDope administrations have mandated Vaxxes for truckers crossing the border.

Canadian truckers (not US truckers) decided to protest the trampling of their rights by blockading a couple of border crossings, the most important of which is at the Windsor/Detroit crossing.

That's caused a couple of major shutdowns.

Three Toyota plants in Canada are to cease production for a week due to the truck drivers' protests and blockades as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused the drivers of harming the national interest.

The three Canadian factories - two in the Ontario town of Cambridge and one in Woodstock, Ontario - employ 8,000 people and follow the General Motors plant in Delta Township, Michigan, in grinding partially to a halt. It now means that at least six production facilities are closing due to the protests.

The Ambassador Bridge, which runs between Detroit in the U.S. and the Canadian border town of Windsor, was blockaded on Wednesday for the third day in a row....

In addition:

...Ford said it was forced to shut down its engine plant in Windsor due to a shortage of parts and place an assembly plant in Oakville, Ontario, on a reduced schedule for the same reason....

TruDope and Bai-Den could act within their Constitutional and moral limits, of course.

But that won't further The Agenda, will it?

Think Alberta Is "Lifting" Mandates? Sucker!!

No matter what The Glitterati think, truckers can actually read.

And they read the fine print, too.

So when a gasbag politician in Alberta Province who wants to be re-elected came out with a "lift the restrictions" story, the truckers actually tightened up their border blockage.

Here's why:

...while Premier Kenny said the vaccine passports called ‘Restriction Exemption Program’ (REP) would be eliminated at midnight tonight, the QR codes check-in gates would continue; vaccine requirements will remain; vaccine discrimination can continue by private businesses with government support; govt healthcare workers must still be vaccinated or get fired; entertainment venues would be allowed to sell food & drinks again (but customers must be seated); and rules on closing times, alcohol service times, table capacity in restaurants, and social distancing would remain in place....

Oh.

IOW, nothing of value has changed.

What?  You expected better from politicians?

"Full Reverse!!" the DNC Yelled

Sefton at AOSHQ finds a column which 'splains a lot.

...The memo has gone out: It is time for every cultural institution, politician, and corporate media outlet to pivot on [Chinese] COVID-19. They must reverse their Covidstan policies, advocate a return to normal, and make excuses for the missteps of the health bureaucracy. The speed and shamelessness with which the narrative shift happened are breathtaking, and it can only mean one thing. The internal polling for Democrats in the midterms is beyond dismal, and areas assumed to be safely in the "D" column are at risk. We mustn't let them get away with the rewrite of history they are attempting. . .

. . . the Covidstan authoritarians are trying to convince you something has changed. The only word for this is lying. Nothing substantial has changed. Democrats, the health bureaucracy, and the corporate media cannot be allowed to retcon the [Chinese] COVID response over the last two years. We are only beginning to understand the damage to our children and society. The wreckage must be laid directly at their feet....

Locally, USA Today's little branch is obviously asking the question, as are the TeeeeVeeee people.  Someone obviously sent them the memo.

But it hasn't arrived on the desk of the (totally irrelevant) Governor of Wisconsin, nor--apparently--on the desk of Word-Salad Tosser Acting-Mayor Johnson of Milwaukee.

Stay tuned.
