Part truth. That’s what Dad29 peddles.

In reality, the political affiliations of the four presidents do not align cleanly onto today's red-and-blue map.

In the 1820s, the Democratic-Republicans split. The faction led by Andrew Jackson dropped "Republican" from the name and became the Democratic Party we know today. We can reasonably deduce that Jefferson is the spiritual and philosophical founding father of the modern Democratic Party. All men are created equal. Yep. Especially in the eyes of our Lord.

And do not forget that George Washington despised the idea of political parties and warned against them in his Farewell Address, believing they would divide the nation. He never joined one, making him the only true political independent on Mount Rushmore.

Jefferson is usually credited with having founded the Democratic Party. In Georgia, where I grew up, it was the noble and heroic James Jackson, who was a committed follower of Jefferson's ideals. I'm not sure if the current party still deserves to get to claim Jefferson as its founder -- not philosophically, certainly, although they remain the 'separation of church and state' party when they aren't backing Islamists. Watching what they're doing in Jefferson's home state in defiance of his plain instructions on how to govern it demonstrates the split clearly enough.

Decidedly better than Trump backing Israel and making a mess in the Middle East.

IT IS A HUMOROUS POST.

But thanks for the education about the Georgia party!

As to Anony 1: Drop dead. Thank you.
