The Fourth Circuit overruled a subordinate idiot judge, and allows Trump to order federal agencies to eliminate their DEI programs and
requiring all government contractors to certify they don’t operate them
either. (That would include lots of colleges, by the way.)
That was a couple days ago.
Yesterday, Trump won again:
...The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has made a massive ruling in favor of President Trump and the ICE removal process [pdf Ruling Here]. In short, throughout the nation 360 immigration judges had previously ruled that illegal aliens (applicants for admission) should be granted bond and released during the removal proceedings.
The Fifth CCA has now ruled the aliens can be detained as they go through the removal process. This means ICE captures the illegal, holds them in detention and then rapidly deports them. The ruling, which will likely be appealed to the supreme court, fast-tracks the removal....
Childers has comments:
...The decision might sound technical, but the practical implications were huge. Now, if an alien crossed illegally and ICE finds them —wherever they are— they’re done. They won’t walk American streets freely again unless they win their removal proceeding (which is highly unlikely). In the meantime, they must stay in detention. They can’t go home to get their things. They are simply done, and the longer they fight, the longer they remain in detention.
Their choice now is to either agree to deportation, or cool it in detention while their lawyers waste time on futile filings. Then they get deported anyway when they lose.
After this decision, many more illegal aliens will simply surrender their frivolous court fights and accept deportation, which will both relieve court backlogs and also help convince many more illegal aliens to self-deport and avoid the trouble....
We should add that since 60++% of illegals are on welfare (both Fed and State), the burden on tax-PAYING Americans--and LEGAL immigrants--will go down.
Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services, and some rando Jewish outfit are most hurt.
Normal Americans' response? "This is what we voted for."

Two more losses for Trump.
A federal district judge in Washington, D.C. issued an order enjoining officials from enforcing portions of President Donald Trump’s March 2025 executive order on elections. Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly issued a permanent injunction blocking provisions that would require federal agencies to assess an individual’s citizenship before offering assistance with voter registration and that would require U.S. citizens living overseas and serving in the military to provide proof of citizenship in order to vote. She determined that these provisions conflicted with federal statutes and generally exceeded the president’s constitutional authority.
An appeals court on Friday rejected a bid by the U.S. Justice Department to delay a hearing on President Donald Trump's bid to revive executive orders he issued against four major law firms that were struck down by judges last year.
In an order, opens new tab on Friday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit declined to put the law firm cases on hold and combined them with the Trump administration's appeal of a ruling that barred it from stripping prominent Washington lawyer Mark Zaid of a special government security clearance.
