A Joke. That's Our Pentagon!

The Pentagon is the symbol of wasted tax money, assuming they can actually find it.

THE symbol.  They simply cannot pass an audit, yet get EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR BILLION DOLLARS/year.

In numbers?  $824,000,000.00

Not to worry.  The Finest Minds in D.C. are working on this.

Pentagon officials...stressed that they're making "good progress" toward a clean audit in 2028.

 A "clean audit" in Government-speak is not a high bar:

...The goal is to earn a clean audit, which means an audit finds financial statements are accurate and a qualified opinion says that while there are omissions and concerns, a government agency's finances are '"generally reliable."...

That is like a weather forecast:  generally reliable.  "See clouds?  Probably rain.  Or snow.  Or not."

Great to know our Armed Forces are "generally reliable."  Makes you feel so much safer, right?
