Bolton v. US, et. al.

The madman known as John Bolton created a big problem for Trump.  This is contrary to The Narrative, which places the blame solely on Trump.  While it is true that Trump pulled the trigger, so to speak, he did it at the behest of Bolton and the NeoCons.

Seems like the NeoCons are in the area wherever war drums are sounding, no?  Just co-incidence?

There used to be a treaty which banned development of intermediate-range missiles.  The objective of the treaty was, among other things, to prevent Russia from using ultra-fast (5Mach-7Mach) missiles and/or glide drones on Europe--a technology with which the Russians were very familiar.  With such arms, a missile launched in Russia can hit Paris in about 12 minutes, and since it does not have to attain much elevation like a conventional ICBM, it's impossible to track and kill with radar.

John Bolton and the NeoCon war-mongers persuaded Trump to dump the treaty.

...the neocons desperately wanted the U.S. to withdraw from the deal. John Bolton was instrumental is convincing American officials to pull out of the treaty. In 2018, politicians still thought listening to psychopaths was a good idea.

The path to this point is a familiar one. The neocons first invent a threat, in this case the threat was that China and Iran were developing intermediate range weapons. There was little evidence of this, but that never matters. This is then turned into a justification for the United States to do something stupid. Famously, the invasion of Iraq was based on the entirely false assertion that Iraq was building doomsday weapons. It turned out that they only had WW1 vintage chemical weapons....

And when the US bailed out of the treaty, Russia resumed its development of the intermediate-range hypersonic glide missile.

Getting the US out of Ukraine?  Maybe the best and quickest route will be to get the US out of NATO and let NATO 'splain itself to Putin.  Right now, they're dead-weight baggage carried by the US taxpayer and they have a Bolton-ish propensity for getting into deadly skirmishes.

Screw 'em.
