This movie about child sex- and labor-trafficking is getting a lot of views.
"Sound of Freedom" crossed the $50 million mark at the U.S. box office on Wednesday, according to Deadline.
... "Sound of Freedom" is based on the true story of former federal agent Tim Ballard and his mission to save children from human trafficking. Caviezel, who played Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's 2004 biblical epic "The Passion of the Christ," stars as Ballard alongside Mira Sorvino and Bill Camp....
The movie's objective is to get Americans to understand what's going on with this "immigration" thing. Something like 85,000 children are "missing" since their illegal entry. You'd think that the United States Catholic Conference--which is supposedly opposed to child sex-and labor-trafficking--would put out a presser recommending the movie to all Catholics.
But they haven't.
And we all know why: they encourage illegal immigration and, implicitly, all that goes with it.
