Rule Number One: FOLLOW THE MONEY
Marquette University, a Jesuit Catholic outfit, has reached the logical conclusion of its journey away from Church teaching.
A
CatholicJesuit university’s speech and hearing center offers so-called “gender affirming voice therapy” to clients of all ages, according to a recently published promotional flyer. ......The school’s Speech and Hearing Center describes the “service” as one that has “a goal of addressing perceived feminine/masculine and gender non-conforming voices with treatment targeting pitch, resonance, intonation and social communication skills.” Although the center’s website states that “gender affirming voice therapy” is “for adolescents and adults,” it is listed as both a “pediatric program” and “adult program.”
General information about the center explains that the system “serves all ages, infant through geriatric.”...
Over the last 40++ years, beginning with its participation in the Land'O'Lakes statement, Marquette University has migrated from a solidly-Catholic institution to a fully-secular one. During that time, the school's clashes with Church doctrine (not to mention reality) in such areas as sexuality and social justice, have regularly increased.
Cynics will say that it was the pursuit of lucre which motivated Marquette, and that's hard to deny. Look no further than twice-married Dwayne Wade's insistence that his son is actually a daughter. Wade got into a fight with his first wife over that. She was correct but lost the battle.
Marquette threw a hero's welcome shindig for Wade this last Spring.
Think Wade's money had something to do with Marquette's implicit denial of doctrine?
Marquette has taken the final step in its journey to Hell.
Sad.
