The usual crime continues both in City Hall and on the streets.
But amidst all that fog of war, we found another interesting number. A convicted criminal (ex-cop) came out of prison and re-offended, swiping $350K from a little old lady.
But between his first stay at Club Graybar and his upcoming second gray vacay, he was hired by Chicago's Department of Transportation.
... Pecora, who resigned from the police department shortly before heading to prison, has apparently continued his service to the city post-conviction. Municipal payroll records list him as a $51.41-per-hour “asphalt laborer” for the Chicago Department of Transportation. ...
For the math-challenged (read: Public School grads), that works out to just under $107K/year.
Not bad for slinging hot asphalt, eh?
