Here's an irony: the very same person whose speech was curtailed, suppressed, and memory-holed now wants to curtail and suppress speech.
If that speech offends Certain People.
Students participating in Pro-Hamas demonstrations on college campuses who are non-immigrant visa holders have been put on notice that they will face deportation by the Trump administration....
Rubio:
“Those who support terrorist organizations threaten our national security. The United States has zero tolerance for foreign visitors who support terrorists. Violators of U.S. — including international students — face visa denial or revocation, and deportation.”
Notice that the word "support" is open to interpretation.
Violence, whether against persons or property, is one thing. That's a criminal act, and the US has every right to deport criminal aliens.
But is speech going to be a criminal act? Does speech "support" terrorists?
Or is this another Trump negotiation?

Yeah, you’re right, when I read that it didn’t pass the sniff test because protesting and terrorism are not the same….. but I didn’t think about it too deeply because there were too many shiny objects all about.
Their speech isn't the problem. Blocking other students from the education they paid for is. This has been a consistent theme throughout the Pali protests. Also the students here on visas are guests of our country. like any disruptive guest they can be told to go back home.
Criminal activity--as I mentioned--is "deportable."
But please: define "support." That's where the problem lies.
