I’m not sure demented is the correct description. Governor Evers has mastered the skill of obedience to The Party line, or narrative as The Party line is commonly called. It is not that the Governor wants to overturn nature, but rather that he simply wants to ignore nature.
The Party line narrative is simply a verbal tool to achieving The Party goals. Those goals being social control for the purpose of obtaining power and then wealth. If The Party were to try and outlaw gravity, then nature would convincingly disagree. Declaring fallacies about the meaning of words is rather safe from the immediate revenge of nature. Long term the consequences of linguistic perversion can, however, provoke the wrath of reality. – Mark78
