Matt Schlapp is currently the Head Honcho of the American Conservative Union (ACU), and his wife Mercedes is a near-co Honcho. His election was controversial; the old Human Events gang didn't like it. (Human Events is under new ownership.)
Schlapp is a Notre Dame grad (which is a straw in the wind) and he's made a lot of controversial moves since he took the position with ACU, including defending the U Penn tranny-swimmer and stating that perhaps Ashli Babbitt 'deserved to be shot.'
He's also taken $183K from a Soros-connected outfit and--perhaps not co-incidental--has hired some woman who is ferociously anti-Trump.
Not surprising, since Schlapp was political director for G W Bush, a NeoCon war-war guy.
Now Schlapp is accused of sexual impropriety. The lawsuit follows the rumors, which have been out for several months.
Maybe Conservatives should find another, better, venue than CPAC.
