By and large, Meg Ellefson's critique of Trump is a rant, not a solid nor even highly-principled and thoughtful critique.
Earlier today we formally divorced ourselves from Trump, based on his bizarre comment about changing (or disregarding?) the Constitution's election clauses, along with his mad-hatter coin-selling and his endorsement of McCarthy for Speaker. (There are other, less significant issues, reclkess spending being one.)
She doesn't like name-calling. OK. It's not what adults do, but it's part of Trump's brand.
But then Ellefson gets to her main complaint: Trump dissed Kleefisch.
Oh. Well, THAT is a really serious thing!! Trump preferred a business type--a contractor like himself--over a woman who claimed to be 'outsider' yet was intimately involved INSIDE government for well over 8 years and married to another 'insider.'
Huh.
Oh, yes, Ellefson has a secondary complaint:
... His most dangerous and damning alliances were with enabling bureaucrats like Tony Fauci and profit-driven Big Pharma. He is responsible for Operation Warp Speed, which pushed the development of an ineffective, dangerous and deadly vaccine for a completely survivable and treatable virus. Operation Warp Speed led to the federal government’s exploitation of the virus and steered policies which coerced American workers, our dedicated military and precious healthcare providers to have no choice but to take the shot or lose their livelihoods....
The very same Big Pharma that was vigorously defended by Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh for over 20 years?
Oh. And Trump was supposed to know better..........how, exactly?
Fauci (and Birx, plus many other 'experts') hoodwinked Trump, who was honest enough to admit that he had ZERO bio-medical knowledge. He was overwhelmed by "doctors" and "Ph.D's" who were all on the same bandwagon.
Perhaps Ms. Ellefson knew better that all those 'experts' in January of '21? June of '21?
We doubt it.
Ellefson claims that her principal complaint is the Covid clusterf**k. I don't think so. Her principal complaint, as we mentioned above, was that Trump preferred Michels and did NOT prefer Kleefisch. Not Trump's dissing of the Constitution; not Trump's wild spending; not his love for Insider McCarthy; nor his inane self-love-NFT promo. Nope. It's all about Kleefisch, name-calling, and the Covid fraud.
We're waiting for Ms. Ellefson to prove her implicit position that Kleefisch could have won. Maybe Ms. Ellefson could also produce her pre-June '21 writings on the Covid topic wherein she showed that Fauci was a fraud and Trump was a damn fool for listening to him?
We're not holding our breath.
