Hospital War Over Employees in Fox Valley

This is extremely disturbing.

Note:  ThedaCare is a Fox River Valley health chain.  Ascension--which says it is a "Catholic" chain--operates in several States.  Ascension hired most of ThedaCare's interventional radiology team--but ThedaCare thinks it is entitled to those employees because becauseSee?

...ThedaCare requested Thursday that an Outagamie County judge temporarily block seven of its employees who had applied for and accepted jobs at Ascension from beginning work there on Monday until the health system could find replacements for them.

The employees were part of an 11-member interventional radiology and cardiovascular team, which can perform procedures to stop bleeding in targeted areas during a traumatic injury or restore blood flow to the brain in the case of a stroke. Each of them were employed at-will, meaning they were not under an obligation to stay at ThedaCare for a certain amount of time.

Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Mark McGinnis granted ThedaCare's request and held an initial hearing Friday morning. The case will get a longer hearing at 10 a.m. Monday....

According to the story, there is no non-compete contract at play.  That makes Mark McGinnis either an idiot or a judicial malpractice award winner.  Could be both, too.

Anyhow, the seven who fled to the waiting arms of Ascension will learn the lesson of the old maxim:  Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire.  Ascension wins zero awards for employee relations.  That's why they're running somewhat deceptive "help wanted" ads in the Milwaukee area.

Deceptive?  Yup.  They brag about how they 'care for employees.'

They don't.
