You Just Lost $700 Million ++

Donald Trump is not a credit manager.  Neither is Paul Ryan, nor Mitchie-Poo.

But they gave $700 million to Yellow Freight (YRC) back in 2020.  And YRC is BK.

Kiss that $700 million buh-bye!

What’s new with a Yellow bankruptcy filing and likely liquidation:

  • It would be the biggest trucker bankruptcy ever (with over four times as many trucks as Celadon)
  • It would come three years after the company received a $700-million government bailout
  • The government holds 29.6% of the shares; it got them in lieu of higher market-based interest rates on the bailout loan.
  • The bailout was condemned in maddening detail by the Congressional Oversight Commission

Well, maybe we'll get our money back from Ukraine!!  Right??

FDR's Slaughter of US Troops

We've known that the Japanese offered surrender terms long before Roosevelt bombed them.

Also long before Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

At Iwo, 6,800 Marines were killed and 19,200 were wounded.  The Japanese suffered 18,500 deaths.  At Okinawa, there were 12,000 US deaths and 36,000 wounded.

Total US losses:  19,000 dead and 55,000 wounded.

All AFTER the Japanese offer of surrender.

Here is the news report from the Chicago Tribune dated 8/19/45:

Release of all censorship restrictions in the United States makes it possible to report that the first Japanese peace bid was relayed to the White House seven months ago. Two days before the late President Roosevelt left the last week in January for the Yalta conference with Prime Minister Churchill and Marshal Stalin he received a Japanese offer identical with the terms subsequently concluded by his successor, Harry S. Truman.

MacArthur Relayed Message to F.D.

The Jap offer, based on five separate overtures, was relayed to the White House by Gen. MacArthur in a 40-page communication. The American commander, who had just returned triumphantly to Bataan, urged negotiations on the basis of the Jap overtures.

The offer, as relayed by MacArthur, contemplated abject surrender of everything but the person of the Emperor. The suggestion was advanced from the Japanese quarters making the offer that the Emperor become a puppet in the hands of American forces.

Two of the five Jap overtures were made through American channels and three through British channels. All came from responsible Japanese, acting for Emperor Hirohito....--quoted at Vox

Then came Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The Democrats have always been the Party of Death; there's the Confederacy, World War One, World War Two, Viet Nam, and the bloodiest of them all:  the War on the Pre-Born Babies.

If you have any Democrats in your neighborhood, it's smart to have defense handy.

John Kerry to You: STOP EATING!

At the link here, you'll see John Kerry next to Bill Gates.

Frequent private jet passenger, John Kerry, admits that destruction of the farming industry is essential to achieving 'Net Zero': "Agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world. And we can’t get to net zero—we don’t get this job done—unless agriculture is front and centre as part of the solution."

"You just can’t continue to both warm the planet, while also expecting to feed it. It doesn’t work. So we have to reduce emissions from the food system."...

Looks like Bill Gates could use a diet.  Maybe those two should stop eating as an example.

New Fuel Standards: WALK, Peon

This is amusing.

Three months after the EPA proposed its strictest-ever limits on tailpipe pollution, NHTSA has outlined fuel economy standards for new light-duty cars and trucks that would require an average fleet fuel economy of 58 mpg by the 2032 model year....

... NHTSA's proposal also includes a 10 percent improvement per year for commercial pickups and work vans — those with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 8,500 pounds but less than 14,001 — beginning in the 2030 model year and ramping up through 2035....

CAFE is 'corporate average fuel economy.'  That means the automakers have to sell more 50-MPG tricycles to offset their 20-MPG one-ton trucks--or simply sell less one-ton (and larger) trucks and SUV's.

You might want to make sure you have reliable transportation before the 2032 models come out.

Bluto Barr's Big Threat

Ol' Bluto, self-described 'Catholic', opens his lie-hole again.

...In a recent interview with NBC News, Barr stated, “I have made clear that I strongly oppose Trump for the nomination and will not endorse Trump.”

When questioned by NBC News about how he would vote if the general election puts Trump against President Joe Biden, Barr said, “I’ll jump off that bridge when I get to it.”....

Your terms are acceptable, Bill.  We'll hold your coat.

Steven White of Italy (?)

A while back a woman--Giorgia Meloni--was elected Prime Minister of Italy, running with the slogan "Patria, Iglesia, Famiglia."

Now we find Steven White, fresh from his family's vacation on the shores of Lake Michigan not far from Muskegon, echoing her.

...all our (small ‘t’) traditions remain the ordinary way that bonds of affection are formed and strengthened between ourselves and those from whom we have received our most precious inheritances: family, church, nation. The more widely those inheritances are shared, provided they are shared with gratitude and love, the more they approach perfection....

That name, "White", doesn't sound Italian.

Must be some sort of racist structural universal white-supremacy thing.

Deep Thoughts

Is it "Hot", or "Steamy"?

That's a serious question, given the facts from NASA, the JPL, and the European Space Agency.

...When the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted on Jan. 15, it sent a tsunami racing around the world and set off a sonic boom that circled the globe twice. The underwater eruption in the South Pacific Ocean also blasted an enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere – enough to fill more than 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools. The sheer amount of water vapor could be enough to temporarily affect Earth’s global average temperature....

That's about a 10% addition to the ambient load of water vapor.

And water vapor is classified as a greenhouse gas.

At the link you'll see a picture and the rest of the documentation.

But you won't hear this from See Bee Ess, nor CNN (if you're one of its two remaining watchers), nor MS-LSD.

It's not The Narrative.  It does not exist.

Is There a Curious "Reporter" In Wisconsin?

We'd be shocked--as in coronary arrest shocked--if one Wisconsin "reporter" asked Gwen Moore, Tony Evers, Mark Pocan, or Josh Kaul about this issue.

...the Democratic Party has made forcing young women and girls to dress and undress in front of strange naked men a cornerstone of its political platform. Apparently Democrats are not allowed to dissent from this orthodoxy; at least, I haven’t noticed any who have done so....

"Reporters" will tell you that 'It's not election season, so nobody cares.'

Actual mothers and fathers--not to mention daughters--will differ about "caring."

What about you, Jason Calvi, not-any-longer "political reporter" at Fox6?  Or your boss, Ted Perry?

Think Molly Beck?  Nah, Never.  Bice?  He lost his cojones when layoffs hit.  The Charles of Four?  Only if it gets him more fawning attention, especially from NBC.

Now the watchword is "Comfort the Comfortable, especially if they're perverts--or pervert-enablers."

Things changed, eh?

"Saint" Jack Smith? Not Even Close

The Court of Star Chamber prosecutor, Jack Smith, is blind, deaf, and dumb on one major matter:  Hunter Biden.

This is 2014:

...Reporter: On another subject, Hunter Biden has now taken a position with the largest oil and gas company–holding company in Ukraine. Is there any concern about at least the appearance of a conflict there–for the Vice President’s son to take a-

Carney: I would refer you to the Vice President’s office. I saw those reports. Hunter Biden and other members of the Biden family are obviously private citizens and where they work does not reflect an endorsement by the administration or by the Vice President or President....

As we all know, the Obama/Biden Criminal Gang did nothing further on the matter.  Nothing.  We can safely assume that the Department of Justice's "Public Integrity Section" heard no evil, saw no evil, and spoke no evil on it.

Q:  Why not?

 A:  Jack Smith.

...Smith—appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland last year to take over DOJs dual investigations into Donald Trump for alleged mishandling of classified documents and the events of January 6—was named chief of the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section, or PIN, in August 2010.

Operating within the criminal division, PIN maintains broad purview over public corruption investigations on the federal, state, and local level including cases tied to “a government official…or someone associated with such an official,” according to the office’s annual report.

Smith held that powerful position until February 2015—meaning Hunter Biden’s years-long board position with Burisma ultimately resulting in a $4 million windfall for the vice president’s son began right under Jack Smith’s nose....

Julie Kelly's reporting is actual reporting, not speculation.

How about a little speculation?

Jack Smith was installed in that slot and was told, specifically, that the Biden Crime Family was OFF-LIMITS to the Public Integrity Section.

Want to bet otherwise?

Here's a question:  where did Obama get all the money he's spending now?

Ford Admits to Reality (!)

On occasion, Detroit poohbahs actually acknowledge reality.  Here's one such admittance, but you'd never know it by the way Ford is saying it.

Heads up, hybrid fans: Ford Motor is working on a whole bunch of new hybrid models.

“You’re going to see a lot more hybrid systems from us,” CEO Jim Farley said Thursday after the company reported second-quarter earnings that revealed widening losses on its electric vehicles unit....

You see the red highlights?  That's reality.  Let's go further:

...To be clear, Ford isn’t turning away from its much-touted EV push, though it said Thursday that its EV ramp-up may take longer than it had previously anticipated....

...“We have been surprised, frankly, at the popularity of hybrid systems for F-150,” Farley said during Ford’s second-quarter earnings call. More than 10% of F-150 pickup customers are opting for the hybrid model, Farley said, and that percentage has been increasing....

Read between the lines:  the all-electric F-150 is a flat-out failure in sales.  One SE Wisconsin dealer took 43 orders for all-electrics, but 39 of those offers were rescinded after Ford had 'battery problems.'  By no coincidence, the cancellations also followed revelations that towing mileage was absolutely dismal.

And just last week, Ford reduced the selling price by $10,000.00Just coincidence, to be sure.

At least Ford didn't hire Dylan Mulvaney to push the trucks.

That leaves Mulvaney free for GM to take.  Don't bet against that.

Ukraine Aid: Where Does It Go?

We've cited stories saying that the weapons given to Ukraine are being intercepted and going to Russia, along with arms-dealers around the world.

But there's the cash, too, which funds Ukraine bureaucrat salaries and pensions.

But cash is remarkably fungible, so how much of that is going to 'the Big Guy'?

Inquisitive minds, and all that.

You'd think that Scott Fitzgerald, (R-WI) would be curious about that, right?

Back-and-Forthright David French

French postures as some sort of "Christian."  To him, "Christianity" includes and makes a virtue of  "hypocrisy".

Otherwise, how could this be?  (HT:  Vox)

Obama Loosed the CIA on Americans

This is an example of a solid interview, not the fluffing and feinting of your typical "journalist."

RFKjr is doing his best to become assassinated, or Clinton-cided?  CIA-cide?  ObamaCide?

Go to 17:00 and listen to what follows.

It was Obama who re-authorized the CIA to propagandize Americans, in 2016.

John Avalon of Daily Beast?  Close friend of CIA.  Noah Schlackman of Rolling Stone?  Very much palsy-walsy with intel agencies, tutored by John Avalon.  Smithsonian, National Geographic, WaPo....

RFKjr:  "Nobody ever complied their way out of totalitarianism."

Yup.

Keeping the Record Straight
