Scripps "News" vs. Truth

It is what they DO NOT tell you that makes the difference.

Scripps on the Trump re-do of the reflecting pool:

...after a Reflecting Pool renovation project cost north of $15 million, some area residents are not pleased with the result.

As was often the case before the renovation began, the pool is currently rife with green algae growth.

A researcher at George Mason University who tested the water this week shared images of the microscopic lifeforms with Scripps News.

And there are some signs the new blue coating may already be peeling.

"It is a rush job," said Jason Davison, an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at Catholic University of America. "Not having the design engineers, the environmental scientists involved is one of the main reasons why we're seeing this failure of the coating."...

Oh, really?  Only engineers and "environmental scientists" could have saved the pool?

Here's what Scripps and the CU Geek did NOT tell you:

...Sabotage the Lincoln Reflecting Pool! Man arrested for cutting out a big piece of blue sealant ...

Oh.  Well.....

Go find another scandal to manufacture, Scripps.

Running interference for a major foul up by Trump is not a good look, Dad29.

Being uninformed is your hallmark. That's a really bad look.

Great effort on disinformation on your part, Dad29. The source you provided showed the paint was peeling and that algae was being removed by workers AFTER the sabotage took place. So these problems were NOT the direct result of the culprit’s actions.

Also not quite true, Anony. Seems that the NPS peeps put a load of hydrogen peroxide into the water to kill off/prevent more algae blooms. They also used high-power vacuuming to remove the algae. The H02 + vacuum pulled up the un-cured coating.

So. It was not the vandal. It was NOT Trump,. It was NPS. 'S OK; they are so used to Democrat incompetence they didn't know better.

The incompetence was the company Trump hired. No surprise.

Shortly after the $14.2 million coating—paid by our tax dollars—was applied by Atlantic Industrial Coatings, there were chips, peeling, and missing chunks of the new floor. The Cause: The combined stress of the chemical oxidizers and heavy commercial vacuuming pulled up the freshly applied or un-cured coating. Great move.
