Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Madison, Monroe, et al...the Framers knew what they were doing! The Northwest Indian War, Tecumseh’s War, the Creek War, the First Seminole War, etc. (they were sovereign nations). The French Naval War [1798-1800], the 1st/2nd Barbary Wars, etc.
Your comments are usually pretty well thought out, but claiming this was an unconstitutional action is something The View phuque-wits would say.
