ROEs seem to be very simple this time. If it can pose a threat, it dies with maximum prejudice. Ugly, but effective. The proportional response advocates must be pissing themselves.

I haven't been involved in this particular "Department of War" operation, but usually SJA/JAG advisors are integrated into planning exactly to forbid bombing of illegal targets. Israel may be hitting them -- I'm not suggesting they are, but they have been willing to hit hospitals in Gaza because they have been used for dual purposes by Hamas -- but I'd be very surprised if the US is doing so.
